carbon footprint offsetting

Outgreening competition; or a strategy to make the world a better place.

In today's world, everyone is more interconnected than ever before. As a result, more people are able to see how we impact the environment. We believe that this can be an asset for our company; an opportunity for sustainable differentiation.

Yechte Consulting works with local Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) to plant trees around Bangalore. So far around 25 kms from the city centre have been covered and requests for planting are pouring in every day. Trees combat climate change and maintain stable monsoon periods, which is vital for the economies of developing countries. So by working with us you are saving money, and you are also contributing to make the world a healthier place. Please contact us for information about our CSR Reward Scheme [email].

Policies

We have instituted a series of in-house policies and principles to minimise our impact on the environment and improve our overall performance. We can therefore reduce the price of our services.

  1. PAPERLESS OFFICE: we operate fully with digital documents and have virtually eliminated the use of paper. We transfer almost all our data digitally and store most of our documents on backed up HDD drives.
  2. WASTE MANAGEMENT: we apply strict programmes regarding the recycling of bottles, cans, card boards. We try to appropriately work with local recycling organisations.
  3. LOW CONSUMPTION: we use low consumption electric appliances to reduce our energy consumption. Low dim light screens, cooled down computers, dark screensavers.
  4. ENERGY: We naturally ventilate our offices; we make appropriate use of daylight to reduce our electric consumption. We use no company car and encourage the usage of public transports.
  5. DIET: We recommend healthy low calorie diets and offer hydrating mineral drinks instead of caffeine based beverages.

education

We feel that as an employer, it is our duty - and in our interest - to create opportunities for up and coming designers and undergraduates. We search equality and diversity among our peers.

Yechte Consulting aims to collaborate with The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. The Trust is a UK based organisation that creates opportunities and programmes for people from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them build their self-respect. The Trust is a place for community learning and social research that is now inspiring and motivating young people to pursue successful careers in the field of construction. Over the past 9 years, The Trust has awarded 50 bursaries and 3 full scholarships to the Architectural Association (AA) in London. Some students have graduated and are now beginning their professional placement. Working with The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust is an opportunity for Yechte Consulting to stay in touch with young graduates in the industry.

Strategy

Our Corporate Social Responsibilities operatives revolt around 3 main components: Education, Nature Preservation and Energy Independence.

We are convinced that respecting and promoting each one of these components will benefit our core business and make the wider environment a better place (both locally and globally). Our longer term vision is to become an influential player in all three sectors and to be able to fund social and research programmes.
